Taking care of your candle

Your lit candle will liquefy in its center under the effect of the heat of the flame. When this lake of wax tends to hollow out, push the edges of solid wax slightly towards the center of your Chand'Miel with your thumbs in order to fold your edges a few millimeters above the level of the liquid wax. You will thus maintain the balance of your candle by avoiding overflowing its lake of wax and you will thus ensure that all of the wax is used as fuel without it digging a tunnel or the wick drowning. You will obtain in this way an optimal yield in terms of duration and quality of combustion.

If the flame is getting too high for your liking or if your candle's wax lake is about to overflow, it might be best to trim the wick slightly. A few millimeters less can make a big difference.
It is important to always light your candle long enough for its edges to become malleable, otherwise it will be impossible to carry out the operation previously described and your candle will tend to hollow out without burning all of its wax. Therefore, the larger the diameter of your candle, the longer it will need to be lit for.

Finally, always extinguish your Chand'Miel by dipping its burning wick into its lake of liquid wax using a non-flammable stick, remembering to straighten it immediately afterward.
